We are proud to announce the launch of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) National Capacity Building Program for the Water and Sanitation Sector in Libya, taking place this December in Amman and Aqaba, Jordan.
This transformative program, implemented by WEE Pros GmbH, delivers four specialized training courses aimed at empowering Libyan professionals and institutions to tackle critical challenges in water and sanitation management. The program includes:
1️ Project Management Professional (PMP) Training
2️ Operation and Maintenance of Sewer Collection Networks (O&M) Training
3️ Water Resources Management (WRM) Training
4️ Sewer Inspection Using CCTV Technology Training
The program will directly benefit 60 professionals from key Libyan governmental institutions:
✅ Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR)
✅ Ministry of Local Government (MoLG)
✅ General Company for Water and Wastewater (GCWW)
✅ Man-Made River Project Execution and Management Authority (MMRA)
💡 Trainings in Amman are hosted at the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) training center, while those in Aqaba are conducted at the Aqaba Water Company training center, featuring hands-on practical techniques to ensure real-world application.
This initiative represents a significant step toward enhancing technical expertise and institutional capacity in Libya, contributing to sustainable water and sanitation solutions for the benefit of population affected by the consequences of conflict in Libya.
