The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) and the National Water Company (NWC) requested to conduct adequacy assessment of the sewage plants across the kingdom. WEE Pros team in cooperation with Seureca performed thorough assessment of the performance of the STP’s operated by MEWA and NWC. The study identified bottlenecks, problems and gaps in the existing systems. It also included the identification of the complying and non-complying STP’s to the Environmental Standards of Saudi Arabia and the Standards of the treated sewage effluent (“TSE”) reuse. Followed by developing an implementation plan to improve the existing situation to reach a full compliance of the Environmental and TSE reuse standards.
